Worthy spent his entire NBA career with the Lakers from 1982 to 1994, recording 17,470 points, 5,187 rebounds, and 2,791 assists while earning seven NBA All-Star selections. His loyalty to Los Angeles and his role in the Showtime era established him as one of the most important figures in Lakers history.
His iconic number 42 was retired by the Lakers, and in 2003, Worthy was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, permanently securing his place among basketball’s legendary players.
