Dennis Rodman established himself as one of the greatest defensive players and rebounders in NBA history, becoming an iconic figure during the Chicago Bulls’ second championship three-peat alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Known as “The Worm,” Rodman built his reputation through extraordinary rebounding instincts, relentless defense, physical intensity, and an ability to impact games without needing to score.
After winning two NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, Rodman joined the San Antonio Spurs before being traded to the Chicago Bulls in 1995.
His arrival gave Chicago another elite defensive weapon and completed one of the most formidable championship lineups in NBA history.
During his three seasons with the Bulls, Rodman helped Chicago win three consecutive NBA championships in 1996, 1997, and 1998.
His rebounding dominance was extraordinary. Despite playing alongside some of the greatest scorers in NBA history, Rodman remained one of the league’s most valuable players because of his ability to control the glass and disrupt opposing offenses.
In 1995–1996, he led the NBA in rebounding while helping the Bulls win a then-record 72 regular-season games.
Rodman also became famous for his unconventional personality and distinctive appearance, making “The Worm” one of the most recognizable personalities of the 1990s NBA.
Beyond Chicago, Rodman won five NBA championships in total and earned seven consecutive rebounding titles from 1991 through 1998.
